Jul. 07, 1984 - Kennedy Space Center, Fla. - An engineer looks at a display screen during deployment checks of the two large solar arrays on the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite undergoing preflight tasting in Hangar AE on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. ERBS will be launched from the Space Shuttle on the 41-S mission scheduled for launch in October 1984. The spacecraft carries instruments designed to measure the amount of solar radiation received and given up by different regions of the Earth, and will also carry an experiment to monitor the vertical distribution of aerosols, ozone and nitrogen dioxide
