Jun. 06, 1959 - Some of the best known pioneers in the field of rocket-development met in Frankfurt today on a reception given in honor of the old Eagles, the still living heroes of aviation of the time before WW I.Highly honored guest of this meeting was prof Wernher Von Braun, german- born US Soace and Rocket- specialist and creator of the Explorer astellites. Prof Von Braun(right) met his old friend, Prof Hans Oberth(center) and Ing. Rudolph Nebel (left), which were the first german rocket scientists to launch liquid-drivrn missles in the early 20s of this century. keystone photo
