Jul. 07, 1954 - VLADIMIR PETROV ATTENDS THIRD HEARING OF ROYAL COMMISSION ON ESPIONAGE IN MELBOURNE. VLADIMIR PETROV - the former Third Secretary at the Soviet Embassy in Australia recently made his first public appearance since he and his were granted asylum in Australia - after attempts had been made to forcibly take them out of the country - back to Moscow. Petroc and his wife attended the third hearing of the Royal Commission on Espionage which is being held at the High Court of Australia - in Melbourne.
