The £A2, 700, 000 Olympic Village for the 1956 Olympic Games is rapidly taking shape at Heidelberg, eight miles from the Main Stadium - the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The village in its final form will consist of more than 837 modern brick and concrete houses and flats - a shopping centre - training area- former be-flagged entrance and large temporary dining halls.
