Four hundred feet cliff rescue.. Angler's three hours of agony on ledge. Sgt. Harry Ware of the New South Wales Police rescue squad- uses a whistle as a signal- during the hoisting of fisherman William Waterer to the top of a 400 ft. cliff at North Head, N.S.W.. waterer (36) had been washed into a crevice while fishing- by a huge wave- which snapped his leg. He was lying in agony on a narrow ledge 400ft. below Blue fish point, manly before the rescue squads could get their complex equipment fixed for the dangerous rescue
