Apr. 05 Gas Blast In Ice Cream Factory Creates Panic. Fifteen Taken To Hospital In Sydney - Australia.: Fifteen people were taken to hospital - and more than forty were treated on the spot when they were badly affected by clouds of ammonia which swept through Peter's Ice Cream Factory at Redfern; Sydney, Australia recently. Ten girls were trapped on the top floor and 56 on the department below fled panic stricken into the street. The fumes escaped when the top of a compressor blew off - rapidly filling the building. Ambulances - first aid and fire brigade personnel were soon on the spot administering oxygen to the victims.
