Nov. 11, 1960 - Opening of New passengers Terminal at Southamption: A new £300, 000 passenger terminal for liners from Australia and New Zeeland - was opened today at Southampton by Sir William Slim - former Gov. General of Australia. The new liner Oriana was berthed alongside the dock during the opening ceremony and the assembled company went aboard the liner for lunch.
