Aug. 08, 1965 - Helicopters Fly Under Sydney Harbour Bridge to Herald Arrival of French Warships.. Nuclear Test Protest. Six helicopter flew under Sydney Harbour Bridge recently to herald the arrival of two French Warships.. They were from the carrier Jeanne D'Arc - which with the destroyers Victor Schoelcher are on six month cruise. At the same time a boatload of protesters demonstrated against the proposed French Nuclear tests in the Pacific.
