Dec. 12, 1967 - Mr. McEmen sworn in in Canberra today. In Canberra today Mr. John Mcewen was a worn -in as prime minister, by australia's governor-general, lord Casey. Mr. McEnwen, leader of the country party, immediately announced he would step aside when the liberals, major partners in the ruling coalition, have resolved their leadership struggle, following the presumed death of Mr. Harold Holt.
