Oct. 10, 1968 - Australia Invaded by Royal Marines. Royal Marines of the Singapore based 3 Commando Brigade bringing supplies ashore from an SR.N6 hovercraft at Sabina Point, Shoalwater Bay, near Rockhampton, North Queensland. They were taking part in an Australian directed amphibious exercise, Coral Sands, involving 50 ships, 90 aircraft and 18, 000 men from Britain, America, Australia and New Zealand. Gurkha troops took the role of enemy. The exercise ends today, after which the ships will visit Australian ports
