Australia - Guinea - New Zealand

Mar. 03, 1969 - I was the the Girl In Australian P.M.'s Night Visit: a 19-year old journalist today entered the political storm over a late-night visit with Australian prime Minister, John Gorton. Miss Geraldine Willesee, daughter if federal senator Donald Willesee, said it was she who accompanied the Premier and his Press Secretary to the American Embassy in Canberra on November 1. A Government MP said in Parliament yesterday that they had visited the Embassy at 2:30 a.m. and stayed for three hours. Mr. Gorton said he had probably arrived at 11.45 or midnight and had left half an hour later. But Miss Willesee said: It was about 1 a.m. when we walked in. We left about 3 a.m. Mr. Gorton then gave her a lift to her flat. Photo shows Miss Geraldine Willesee - a picture received today, from Perth
