Feb. 02, 1978 - Death of the Carrieton Dingo: The dingo which had been plaguing the farmers of Adelaide, Australia has finally been killed. The dingo who had killed more than a 1, 000 sheep in 12 months, was shot by conservationists make a fuss, they should come here and look at a sheep writing in agony with its stomach torn out'. It was a solemn end for the dog that had outwitted the farmers for nearly a year. In Carrieton, near the Polden property, there was all round cheers when the farming fraternity turned out to inspect the kill.
