Jul. 22, 1955 - Nucleus of the New Austrian Army the B Gendarmery. With the newly granted freedom of Austria-the B Gendarmery has been transferred from the Austrian Home Ministry to the Ministry of the Defence to form the nucleus of the new Austrian Army.
