Mar. 03, 1976 - Wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Ferenc Rakoczi II: Festive programme were held all over the country today and yesterday to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Reigning Prince Ferenc Rakoczi II. He commanded the Hungarian war of independence against Hapsburg rule in the first decades of the 18th century. Members of the Presidential Council. the Hungarian Government and the representatives of the Patriotic People's Front laid wreathes at the statue of Rakoczi on the Lajos Kossuth Square
