Feb. 02, 1953 - Tibetan Lama Author Exposed As A Hoaxer'. He Wrote A Best Seller On Ancient Religion: The man accepted by thousands as the Tibetan Lama of The Third Eye - has been exposed as a brilliant hoaxer. He is not a Lama - and is in fact the son of a plumber - from Plympton, Devon- plain Mr. Cyril Henry Hoskins. He and his wife live in a cliff-top villa near Dublin as Dr. and Mrs. Kuan. Living at the same address is Mrs. Shellach Rouse once a member of West End Society -who believes in his celestial and clairvayant powers. The Third Eye is a best-seller - and the exposure was caused by 62 year old Mr. Marco Pallis - a 62 year old ex-Harrovian - who is an expert on Tibet. He said he did so because of the Lama's version of the Tibetan religion angered him. Photo shows Mr. Cyril Henry Hoskins - in his robes as Lobsand Rampa - author of The Third Eye'. He is the son of a Devon plumber
