Jun. 06, 1970 - Novelist Harold Robbins On A Visit To London: Harold Robbins, who is spending a few days in London on his way from the U.S.A. to his home in the South of France, can lay claim to being the most widely read novelist writing today. Not one of his books has sold less than 600, 000 copies a year and his most successful. The Carpetbaggers, has sold well over six million. In paperback alone his ten novels have sold more than twenty million copies. Robbin's latest novel The Inheritors was published in London by Nel on May 14th, and in the first three weeks 30, 000 have been sold, Harold Robbins was born 53 years as in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York.
