Jan. 01, 1950 - Bank Robbers Who Called The Police: The bank robbers had blasted their way into a strong room at the bottom of the building and were filling their pockets pockets with loot - when the heavy door swung to closed them in vault. They had falled into the Special Investigator's trap. The game ws up. You Win, they Sailed. Open Up and we'll come out. But that's where the Special Investigator fell down on his job. The door was tightly closed and he could not open it. The robbers, clamouring to be lret out, soon eased to be robbers at all, and became - just worried twelve-year-old schoolboys playing in a bomb- destroyed bank at Isliongton, London yesterday. The Special Investigator, aged ten, was worried too. It took him twenty minutes to find a policeman, and then they had to call a fireman to praise open the rusty old old vault door. Inside were Tommy Reeves and Jimmy Kelly. They were both very upset, and were taken to Royal Northern Hospital, but were allowed to go home. And the Special Investigator? He was Terry Lee. He went off to see a pantomime.a
