Sep. 24, 1953 - Miracle boy walks after eight years.: Mrs. Jean Palmer, 38-tear-old housewife of Cramlington, Northumberland, believes that a miracle happened in the parlour of her new Council house. Her eight year old son, John, cripples from birth by deformed hips, was playing on the rug. Suddenly he grabbed a tor cricket bat and a toy spade - and stood up.
