Aug. 08, 1954 - A planned family of ten: Dr. Mervin Seymour Pembrey, and his 40-year-old wife Lottie wanted ten children. And with the arrival of Shirley last Friday - the lucky 13th - the blueprint family, of Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire, was at full strenth. When Shirley arrived the announcement of her birth said the family is now completed as planned because, explained MrsPembrey, I did not want other wives to think my husband had been inconsiderate'.
