Babies - Children - Multiple Births

Helping To Blow Out The Candles: The Ten children of Dr. and Mrs. Mervyn Pembrey were all present at their Cambridge shire home this afternoon - at the first birthdya party given for baby Shirley. Plenty of public interest was created by the announcement of the birth of Shirley a year ago - with the unusual wording to complete the family of ten children, as planned Dr Pembrey said that when they were first married - they decid on a family of six - but the children were all such good specimens that they decided to carry on and make it Ten.
