Babies - Children - Multiple Births

May 24, 1955 - A typhus epidemic in Hagen, Germany scared the government. Over 500 children came down with it and there had been reported deaths. After eight days of intensive searching they found the source, a well that a dairy cooperative had been using. It was close to a children's playground and the children drank the water. They walled off the well(pictured) and an investigation was launched
