May 01, 1957 - The House of Death Baby found in Arms of his Dead Mother: Neighbours entered the the flat inAnnerley Road, Penge on Monday of Mr. and Mrs.George Hopper. they found nine months old baby Tom Hopper Crying in the Arms of his Mother who lay dead in bed Mrs. Hopper had severe head injuries and near by Lay a blood stained hammer. her husband, George (36) Lay dead in the hall with a noose around his neck.the baby was taken to a Kent Country Council Nursery at Orpington. officials said that there was nothing the matter with the baby except that he had not been fed for twenty four hours before he was found. police are trying to trace relatives of the family in the North of England
