Feb. 02, 1959 - Homework-Haters ran away: The five teenage truants who ran away from Rossendale, Lancashire - and were missing for 39 hours - were found in the seafront at Bournemouth - 200 miles from home. They were collected by the police and sent back home. They said they ran away because they hated homework - having passed the 11-plux examination.
