Nov. 11, 1964 - The picture that horrified a saloon Bar. Hand's up : This picture is the reproduction of a snapshot - picked up by a customer off the floor - of a saloon bar in a pub near Aldwych - London. It shows a very frightened boy - with his hands up as he faces a man with a rifle. Its orgine is unknown, The customer who picked it up - sent it ti a London newspaper - where further efforts were made to locate its origin.The ministry of defense -army and Navy experts were baffled. They were certain that it was not a British serviceman with his finger on the trigger. They said that the man's boos - gaiters and denim battledress had been replaced as regular issue many years ago - but they can still be bought at was surplus stores in Britain and abroad. so the mystery remains. - the soldier could be a mercenary in Africa - or a Dutchman in Indonesia - He could be in Vietnam - Laos - Malaysia - or even the Korean way - 10 years ago -and it could be posed picture
