May 05, 1966 - Brian is safe; Comfortably secure between two policeman, four year old Brian Ruthven sat quietly at the Roch:ester Row Police Station in London yesterday while senior officers tries to piece together the missing 19 hours in his life. Brian disappeared from outside a public use in Churton Street, Pimlico at lunch time on Tuesday. Yesterday morning he was found at Euston Station on the train from Bletehley, Bucks, which had pulled in at 9:10 am. Police are hoping that his mother 30 year old Mrs. Agnes Ruthven, will be able to get him to tell her what happened. Mrs. Ruthven, wife of a British Railway worker, took Brian with her when she left her home in Vauxhall to go shopping. She said yesterday : I went for a drink with some friends in a pub and left Brian outside. The door was open so I saw him all the time. But while Mrs. Ruthven went to the lavatory Brian vanished. Early today Colin Haywood. age 36 a night porter, of Charges Street, Mayfair, was charged with stealing Brian. He will appear in court today
