Dec. 12, 1968 - Fourteen Year Old Bride Arrives In England: Barbara Scruggs the fourteen year old beside of 21 year old Norman Scruggs from St. Mary's Georgia - arrived in this country during the week-end to be with her husband - who is attached to the U.S. Naval Support forces in London. The home Secretary has to decide whether Barbara will be allowed to stay here or not - it depends on the findings on the legality of the marriage, The couple were married in Lawrenceville, North Caroline - where consent of the parents has to be given for people under 16 to wed.
