Babies - Children - Multiple Births

Mar. 03, 1980 - Black-Bottom Baby for Nuclear plant worker : It is no wonder that Finn Vesa Uitto and his wife Kasrina today belong to the growing crowd of people who strongly oppose the building of nuclear power plants. For their two year old child Antti suffers from a skin disease which at first baffled doctors but they now know to be a pigmentation disturbance caused by radiation. Mr Uitto is now battling in the courts to prove that during the time in 1975 he worked in the Oskarshamn nuclear power plant in Sweden he received overdoses of radiation which caused the skin diseases in his little son. Antti;s back and bottom are covered with a hard, black mole-like skin. Eight skin-graft operations are necessary to remove the disfigurement. Photo shows Little Antti before some of the skin-graft operations
