Girl dancers can be seen on the golden sends performing their own dances - a mixture of European and African styles. The picturesque vendors of coconut milk, which they carry in converted oil drums on their heads do a roaring trade - and when the milk is laced with local rum then things begin to hum. Photo shows vegetable hucksters at Bushy's Ailey - Bridgetown, Barbadoes, B.W.I. - as the natives is in a good stock of foodstufs in reediness for the Carnival time
