Mar. 08, 1974 - March 8th, 1974 Air Jamaica to open non-stop air service between London and Jamaica The first and only non-stop scheduled air service between London and Jamaica will begin on April 1, when Air Jamaica introduces its new direct flights from Heathrow to Kingston and Montego Bay. In addition to the convenience and speed of this non-stop facility, the airline offers unique features, including the world's only live in-flight fashion show by the stewardesses, who model a collection of the latest resort wear from top Jamaican couturiers.
