Aug. 08, 1954 - Icing The Largest Cake in the World. Ready for Food Fair - and Children's Hospital.: What has been called the largest cake in the world - is now nearing completion at a bakery in Camberwell, London. IT is a model of the White Tower at the Tower of London - weighs nearly Six Hundred weight. The cake will be on view at the British Food fair at Olympia next month and has been made as a present for the children and staff of the Great Ormond Street Hospital - to which it will be handed over when the Food Fair closes.
