Jun. 06, 1956 - Opening the St. Helen's Cake Fair.: The St. Helen's Cake Fair was opened this morning at St. Helen's off Bishopgate to raise funds for the Church Restoration. Thousands of cakes - presented by Catering Companies and City Livery Companies - were sold. The Church is one of the oldest in the City. Photo shows Philip Cook as Jingles and Hilary Barlow as Emily Pickwick Papers characters admiring a Coach and Four Ice Cake - which weighs 140 lbs. The cake is valued at £60 and is being presented to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children
