Mar. 02 The first 5-mark bons: The work of support for the poor population of Berlin East-sector which was started in Kreuzberg was now continued to-day with the delivery of 5-mark bons. The sale of foodstuff for the rate of exchange 1 : 1 was stopped as the new system is considered to be much more better. The bons are handed out to the inhabitants of certain streets who then may buy their foodstuffs in all Kreuzberg shops. When the bons were handed out for the first time on July 20th the people lined up before the office in large crowds. After they have received their bons the inhabitants of Berlin Eastern sector may also have some milk without payment. Women have queued up in a long file
