Apr. 17 Wow, what a bread!: New York. paul Bedrey, (left) and Paul Jederlinich, bakers, measure the huge load they baked in Gottfriend Baking Company;s ovens fro the opening ceremonies of the U.S. World Trade Fair, Sunday April 14th at 12:30 pm at the New York Coliseum. This loaf is the largest ever baked in New York City. it is a rye with Carraway Seeds. It took four bakers three and a half hours to make it and bake it and that tape they are using shows that it is 7 long; it would make 400 sandwiches comfortably. It will be used in a Sreaking of Bread ceremony with Gov. Averell Harriman and Mayor Robert F. Wagner who will distribute the bread amongst dignataries representing the nation's of the world
