Apr. 24, 1962 - 24-4-62 Australian apples to Covent Garden Almost the equivalent of sending coals to Newcastle, was the visit this morning of a team of Australian lovelies to Covent Garden Fruit Market. They were there with the intention of popularizing Australian apples, part of the Australian Apple Day celebrations. They even succeeded in supplying some of the apples to the fruit porters.
