Nov. 11, 1960 - Monster Vegetables on Show 159 Lb. Pumpkin: Prizewinners in a competition sponsored by Garden News to find the Country's biggest vegetables, were on display today at Fisons Garden Centre, Wigmore-street. One of the giant exhibits on display was a pumpkin, weighing 159 lbs, with a circumference of 84 inches, which was grown in a garden measuring only 9 feet wide, by Mr. W.E. Everett, of Walsham Le Willows, Suffolk. Photo Shows Cinderella's pumpkin was never like this, two-year old Joanna Henning seems to be thinking, as she trundles Britain's biggest pumpkin down Wigmore-street today.
