Feb. 12, 1969 - World's Largest Sausage Arrives at Selfridges: A seven-foot Sausage full of meat arrived at the food centre at Selfridges in Oxford Street this morning. The Store are holding a German Food fortnight and this sausage will be on display during the next two weeks and members of the public will be able to try and guess the weight, the winner of the contest will win a prize of a two weeks holiday in Germany. The sausage was made in Versmold, Westphalia West German for this food fair.
