1963 - Tourism -- Airliner Makes Unusual Restaurant Hamburg, Germany (GF) -- It was not an emergency landing on Hamburg street. the airliner which had motorists looking surprised and blocked traffic (photo) was a super constellation that the German airlines Lufthansa recently retired from service. It was being transported across the city to a suburbian swimming resort. There, its new owners put on the finishing interior touches and have since opened the airliner as one of Germanys most unusual restaurants. It is called the Flugcafe Neu Wulmsterf and there are two waitress on board -- both dressed like stewardesses of course.
