Mar. 03, 1954 - Girls go to jail - to put on a play.'Reluctant Heroes at Wormwood Scrubbs.: Three girls and eight men of the cast of the record breaking West End Show Reluctant Heroes visited Wormwood Scrubbs Prison, yesterday to give a special performance of their play to 3510 prisoners. The Actor-Mangaer brian Rix said that the play went down - better with the prisoners than with any other audiences - even though it had been performed before more than a million people.
