Sep. 09, 1954 - Ballet star of the future Helen is finalist in Scholarship; Fourteen year old Helen Starr who comes from Backenham and is a pupil of the Royce Academy of Dancing, Sydenham - has great hopes of becoming a Ballet star of the future for she was one of four finalist for the Leverhalme Ballet Scholarship organized by the Royal Academy of Dancing. The Scholarship is worth250 a year for three years. Helen now awaits the verdict of the judges - one of whom was Margott Fonteyn. Helen hopes for she was 13th on the list for audition.
