Dec. 12, 1953 - British Bride Has Two Weddings.. Placing A Gold Thali Around Her Neck. Dancer Maisie Rogers had two ceremonies when she was married today to her stage partner Dickie Panther at Walthamstow. First was a ceremony at St. Mary's Parish church - and second was an Indian wedding in the marquee on the lawn of their new home - in Walthamstow, conducted by a Brahmin priest.
