Mar. 03, 1959 - Wedding On A Tight Rope: A couple of tight rope acrobats, Roland Schmidt, 19n and Francine Pary, 19, from La Rochelle, near Bordeaux, were married on a tight rope in the la Rochelle harbour yesterday. The rope was fixed between two ancient towers 60 feet above the ground. A well-known cabaret singer, Claude Bejac, deputising for the mayor of the free community of montmartre, united the couple while standing on a firemen's ladder. photo shows.
