Dec. 30, 1963 - The Acrobat girl Maries the Juggler. Surely the year's most colourful weding reception was held yesterday, at the Brllo Vue Circus in Manchester, when Spanish trampoline acrobat Virginia Alcarz married Italian Juggler Luigi Mendini at the nearby Church of the sacred eart at Gorton. The reception was held in the circus ring, and the guests were all in their circus costumes - clowns, Red Indians, strong men, trapez girls and all, with 84-year-old ringmaster George Lochhart in his topper and red tailcoat. Their wedding night had to be curtailed because bridegroom Luigi had to catch a train back to Glasgow where he is appearing in another circus.
