A simple plastic toy that could become the most contagious teenage craze wines the hula hoop was launched and demonstrated yesterday in batterssa Park by twenty lively teenagers. Called the Getaway, it is an aerodynamic, nine-inch plastic dise, that's thrown into the air to spin, hover, float and boomerang. 20 swining boys and girls, dressed in Carnaby Street year, designed by John Stephen, demonstrated the game and showed Cathy McGowan, Joe Brown and other celebrities how to play, The Gataway is so contagious that the television dancing team, the Beat Girls, have created a swinging now pop dance which imitates the flight action of the Gaetaway.
