Aug. 08, 1967 - Dick Van Dyke At Premiere; Accompanied by his wife and daughter, American comedian Dick Van Dyke attended last night's premiere at the Astoria, Charing Cross Road, in London, of the film Divorce American Style in which he is one of the stars. Dick drove there in a specially built 100 m.p.h. car the one he drives as a zany inventor called Caractscus Potts in the3 1/2 millions musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which he is making in Britain. The car's statistics did make for speed in West End Conditions; weight two tons, length 17 1/2 feet, open, high built and finished in brass, copper and aluminum with a boat shaped body in red and white cedar.
