Jul. 05, 1966 - He Keeps A Registry of Clowns Faces. There is a circus tradition that as two clowns have the same working face, and it's Mr. Stan Bult's responsibility to see that it is observed. The procedure for a novice clown is to send Mr. Bult a sketch of how he plans to look when he appears before an audience. At this point, Mr. Bult, whos secretary-organiser of the International Circus Clown Club, goes to work on an egg -reproducing the sketch on the shell. The he compares it with the hundreds of other similarly (but not identically) decorated eggshells in his home at Croydon. These make up 80-year old Mr. Bult's clown registry. If Mr. Bult's latest egg is exactly the same as the one already in the collection, the sketch is returned with the suggestion that the sender should think again.
