Jun. 11, 1969 - Budgie Man Meets (Real) Budgie Man. Comedian Freddie Davies who is currently starring in the ITV series It's The Bachelors (June 12th, 19th, 26th), is famous as Mr. Parrotface who relates hilarious stories about extremely duff budgerigars. But during rehearsals for the TV shows he met some budgerigars who are very far from duff. They are the property of Don Crown who uses them in a highly original act in which the budgies do everything he tells them and will even work in the open air without flying away. Don is currently performing in clubs in the London area, but he and his birds took time off to show television's budgieman a thing or two.
