Aug. 08, 1970 - American comedianne Phyllis Diller to star at she talk of the town. American comedianne, Phyllis Diller, has arrived in London to make her British cabaret debut at the Talk of the Town for a two week season, opening today. Miss Diller was 37 years old a mature age for any career debut, and the mother of five children when she walked on stage for the first time in March 1955 at the Purple onion San Francisco. Acclaimed today as the world's only female stand up comic of international stature, PHYLLIS was born in Lima, Ohio, and now lives with her family in a 25 roomed mansion in Southern Calfornia.Her husband actor singer Warde Donovan, will appear with her in her act.
