Feb. 02, 1970 - Big Chance for Two Young Dancers in Sir Frederick Ashton's New Ballet Lament of the Waves Sir Frederick Ashton has chosen two young members of the Royal Ballet Corps de Ballet, 23 year old Marylin Trounson, from San Francisco, and 19 year old Carl Myers, from Loughborough, to dance in his new ballet Lament of the Waves, which has its world premiere at the Royal Benevolent Gala at Covent Garden on Monday February 9th in the presence of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and Princess Margaret.
