Feb. 02, 1953 - Tribute to Jean Carson: Miss Jean Carson, the star of Emile Littler's musical hit Love from Judy was honoured at the variety club luncheon, at the Savoy Hotel, as The Musical Discovery of 1952. She was presented with a large scroll on which is written extracts pertaining to her from the London Critics reviews. The following inscription appears on the scroll. A Star is Bron. A tribute from the London Critics. Jack Buchanan presented the scroll to Miss Carson, and Frank Sinatra made a speech of tribute.
