May 05, 1957 - Sandy Starts on his piano playing marathon: Sandy Strickland, a Bolton Engineer was to be seen at teh New Cross Empire this morning at the start of his piano playing marathon in which he hopes to beat the Australian record of 131 hours. He is 40 years of age and will drink a gallon of ten a day. His main food will be eggs with milk and brandy. He will also smoke about 100 cigarettes a day.
